IVF Timeline

I hope this is my 1st and only IVF course and that I will look back at this (perhaps not-so-fondly) and remember how it all started :)

1.22.13... 

Cycle Day 1...and the clock starts!

1.23.13...

Estradiol and FSH levels drawn one more time to prove to my insurance that I am indeed an IVF candidate. Start Oral Birth Control Pills.

2.4.13... 

Lupron 10 units SQ nightly

2.9.13...

Last birth control pill! Continue Lupron 10 units nightly.

2.13.13... 

Baseline Ultrasound and Estradiol level=20. Cleared to start stims!

2.15.13...  

Started Menopur 2 vials and Gonal-F 150 units nightly. Decreased Lupron to 5 units nightly.

2.17.13...

Estradiol Check=126. All medication doses stay the same for tonight.

2.18.13... 

Decreased Menopur to 1 vial (all other doses unchanged). Starting to feel those ovaries a bit. Not uncomfortable, but definitely aware of them.

2.19.13... 

Ultrasound and estradiol check= 429. 10ish follicles on either side, all measuring 6-8mm. Decreased Gonal-F to 75 units, all other meds stay the same.

2.21.13... 

Ultrasound and estradiol check=1206. 10ish follicles on either side, all measuring 8-12mm. All medication dosing stays the same. Ovaries feeling tender and body feeling tired! And I'm peeing constantly.

2.23.13... 

Ultrasound and estradiol check=2360. The covering RE introduced himself to me then said, "Dr Tran said I would be meeting you today and that you have A LOT of follicles". 20ish on the left? 10 plus on the right? All somewhere between 6 and 15. Most 12-14 mm. Decreased Gonal-F to 50units, menopur and lupron stay the same. 

2.24.13... 

Ultrasound and estradiol check= 4238. What?!?!  Still lots of follicles, the largest 17mm. Stopped Gonal-F, continue Lupron at same dosing. Estimated trigger tomorrow night.

2.25.13... 

Ultrasound and estradiol= 4830. Last Lupron dose at 6:15pm. Trigger with 3,300 HCG.

2.26.13...

NPO at midnight, Hubby took antibiotics.

2.27.13...

Retrieval! 21 eggs retrieved.

2.28.13... 

18 of the 21 eggs were mature, 18 eggs fertilized over night.

3.2.13... 

Day 3 growth check. All 18 are growing well. 15 are Grade 1 and 3 are Grade 2 or 3.

3.4.13...

Day 5 Embryo check- 11 blastocysts make it to the freezer.

3.5.13...

2 More potential babies frozen :) Total 13. 

4.12.13...

Cycle day 1 of FET cycle.

4.15.13...

No cysts on the ovaries, cleared for natural FET cycle.

4.23.13...

OPKs Start

4.24.13...

Ultrasound shows one 12mm follicle on the right side, continue OPKs

4.28.13

Ultrasound shows one 19mm follicle on the right side, progesterone= 0.6
HCG Trigger at 10pm

Progesterone check

4.30.13...

Cycle cancelled. Boo.

5.14.13...

CD2. Start BCPs. 


5.27.13...

Lupron 10 units nightly...bring on the hot flashes and fatigue!

 6.1.13...

Last BCP!

6.7.13...

Start Vivelle Patches (changing every 3 days- 1 patch x 6 days, 2 patches x 3 days, 4 patches) continue Lupron 10 units nightly

6.18.13...

Lining check 8.4mm, last lupron injection!


6.19.13...

Progesterone injections start nightly (0.5ml), decreased vivelle patches to 3.

6.20.13...

Start Methylprednisilone once daily. Continue PIO.


6.21.13...

Increase PIO to 1 ml nightly. Ouch.


6.22.13...

Decrease vivelle patches to 2. Continue PIO.

6.24.13...

12:00 pm FET! One 5 day AB Blastocyst transferred! Increase PIO to 1.5ml nightly. Continued 2 vivelle patches changed every three days.


6.29.13...

5dp5dt: Started testing with Wondfo HPT strips. Negative (But later it showed a faint line!) First BFP ever!

7.2.13...

Digital test shows: Pregnant! 

7.8.13...

Beta #1 14dp5dt: 2500 something...can't remember the whole thing. (!!!!!) Continue PIO 1.5 ml nightly and vivelle patches (2) every 3 days.


7.10.13...

Beta #2 4800 something.

7.22.13...

First Ultrasound: heartbeat! 6weeks 4 days 

7.30.13...

First OB appointment

8.10.13...
